Pairing "Foodie" Oceania Cruises & "A Taste for Life"

As a luxury travel agent, I get to work with the “best of the best” cruise lines, hoteliers, and destination specialists from around the world. And I love partnering with Oceania Cruises.

Oceania is a fantastic premium line that has mid-sized ships http://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/default.aspx, and they cater to foodies. http://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/dining.aspx

With the legendary master chef Jacques Pépin serving as their Executive Culinary Director, it’s certainly not a stretch for Oceania to say their cuisine is the “finest at sea.”

And, as noted on this blog, http://www.oceaniacruisesblog.com/taste/bon-appetit-culinary-center/ “Anyone who has ever sailed with Oceania Cruises knows that cuisine is a very important part of the experience. From its very beginnings 10 years ago with the appointment of Master Chef Jacques Pépin as Executive Culinary Director, to the exceptional onboard specialty restaurants at no additional charge, to the Bon Appétit Culinary Center offering hands-on cooking classes, Oceania Cruises is unrivaled in its dedication to the culinary arts.”

So, when I learned that “A Taste for Life Ottawa” www.atasteforlife.org was partnering with 48 Ottawa restaurants to raise money for those living with HIV/ AIDS, and supporting Bruce House and the Snowy Owl project, I wanted to contribute. I thought bringing together those who already love good food (and if they are dining at the restuarants partnering with a taste for life, they obviously love good food) with Oceania Cruises (who caters to foodies) was a way to raise money for “a taste for life.”

I offered to Executive Director, Jill Woodley, that I would make a donation to “A Taste for Life” for every Oceania Cruise booked through me. Jill put my logo on their web. http://www.atasteforlife.org/taste-sponsors7.html  And I attended her launch on April 15th at Urban Element.

Rick Mercer also did a public service announcement for the event.

The “taste for life” event was last Wednesday, April 24th, and thousands of diners turned out at Ottawa’s participating 48 restaurants in support of Bruce House and Snowy Owl Foundation.

However, you can still show your support!  My offer of donating $100 to “A taste for life” is good until June.30.13.  All you have to do is book an Oceania cruise with me, mention “taste,” and I’ll donate $100 to “a taste for life.”

Help me help those who most need a hand. Let’s take advantage of your cruising holiday to help others. Let’s make “hope taste delicious.”
