Disney's Port Orleans Riverside- Princesses & Families of 5

por groundsDuring my 23rd visit to Walt Disney World last month, I toured the Royal Guest Rooms and the regular rooms at the Port Orleans Riverside.  What a great set up for your princess and prince.

Port Orleans Riverside offers Magnolia and Alligator Bayou rooms.

If you choose the Magnolia rooms, you can have a Royal Guest room.

Royal Guest rooms are decorated for princesses in the style of Princess Tiana. The Louisana theming is prevalent.

There’s even a letter from Princess Tiana left for your little princess.

And let’s not forget the really cool headboard that shows fireworks (you can turn it off!)

Royal Guest Room – Princess Firework Headboard

If you choose the Alligator Bayou rooms, there are no Royal Guest rooms in this section (nor are there any magical headboards), but these rooms do have the updated trundle/ Murphy bed option for families of 5.  This extra bed is still small, and ideally meant for a small child age 3-9. It is really a bench that converts to a bed at night. Instead of being the former trundle bed that pulled out from under a double bed, now there is a small bed that pulls down from the wall.

All in all, Port Orleans Riverside is a lovely option for your princesses – or – for families of 5 with a smaller child.
