Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship – AquaLab

You may have heard about the AquaDuck water roller coaster onboard the new Disney Dream and Fantasy cruise ships (which, believe me, is a blast), but after you ride it 27 times or so (which my kids did), you might want to play in the water park area for kids of all ages.

We cruised the new Disney Fantasy last week for the inaugural Eastern Caribbean sailing, and had a great time. One thing that surprised me was the height restriction on the AquaDuck. You have to be 42″ to ride, and have to ride with an adult if you’re not 52″ yet…. (see http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/disney-a-mom-and-the-mouse/2011/02/disney-cruise-line-lowers-height-requirement-for-disney-dreams-aquaduck/) that caught a couple of fellow cruisers by surprise. (My youngest met the height requirement.) But there is a younger kids’ slide onboard, as well as a terrific water play area.  Whn my DD6 saw it, she had to run through it – fully clothed!

Have a look at how much fun it is!  You really have to try it!
